Wade, Valkyries cruise through Columbia Falls

COLUMBIA FALLS — Keni Wade hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points, and first-place Bigfork ruled the boards in a 51-34 Northwest A girls basketball victory on Saturday.

Wade scored all of her points through three quarters while the Valkyries (13-1 overall, 8-0 in conference play) built a 47-17 lead.

Braeden Gunlock added 13 points and Paeten Gunlock 10 for the Vals.

Hope McAtee’s 10 points lead the Wildkats (4-8, 3-3 in league), who were outrebounded 44-24. Maddie Moultray grabbed five rebounds for Columbia Falls.

RONAN — Kailyn Marengo scored nine of her 11 points in the first half and Ronan defeated Libby 44-21 in Northwest A girls basketball Saturday.

Zailee Hewankorn added nine points for the Maidens (6-7 overall, 3-4 in Northwest A) who jumped out to a 26-4 halftime lead.

Jossalyn White scored a team-high six points for the Loggers (1-11, 0-6), who shot 36% for the day.

WHITEFISH — Natalee St. Goddard knocked down four 3-pointers and scored 20 points as Browning defeated Whitefish 63-26 in Northwest girls basketball Saturday.

Teslin Trembley added 13 points for the Indians (8-4 overall, 5-1 in Northwest A), who led 34-10 at the half.

Yoli Krastev scored 9 points to lead the Bulldogs (3-7, 0-4), who turned the ball over 22 times.
