Donations assist Housing Whitefish program

| January 12, 2024 12:00 AM

Housing Whitefish has received a donation to the Whitefish Workforce Assistance Program with a $15,000 grant from the Foley Family Charitable Foundation.

The contribution will be further amplified by a $15,000 match from various Foley Family businesses in Whitefish.

The Foley Family Charitable Foundation has a long-standing tradition of supporting initiatives that contribute to the well-being and vitality of communities. This latest grant to Housing Whitefish reflects their dedication to fostering sustainable solutions to housing issues, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing the overall quality of life in Whitefish, notes Housing Whitefish.

In addition to the foundation's contribution, Foley Family businesses operating in Whitefish, including Whitefish Mountain Resort, Glacier Jet Center, and Glacier Restaurant Group, have pledged matching gifts totaling $15,000.

“We are honored and deeply appreciative of the Foley Family Charitable Foundation's generous grant and the additional matching gifts from Foley Family businesses in Whitefish,” said Daniel Sidder, executive director of Housing Whitefish. “These significant contributions will bolster our efforts to address housing challenges in our community.”

The Whitefish Workforce Assistance Program planned to launch this winter is a monthly rental assistance program. Applicants would be able to apply for monthly rental assistance to bridge the affordability gap by decreasing the cost burden for renters. Funding assistance would be based on income and rent.
