BUTTE — Columbia Falls lost two games by a total of six points at the Western A basketball basketball divisional. The good news is that was good enough to get the Wildcats to State.

Kyler Engellant hit four 3-pointers and scored 24 points in Dillon’s 63-59 consolation game win over Columbia Falls Saturday at the Butte Civic Center; the Beavers avenged a 51-49 first-round loss to the Wildcats and take a 17-5 record into the State A tournament March 7-9, also at the Civic Center.

Columbia Falls, which fell 57-55 to Hamilton in Friday’s semifinals — then walloped Frenchtown 77-47 Saturday morning behind Jace Hill’s 33 points — is 14-8 and headed to state for the second straight season.

Dillon ousted Browning with a 62-43 loser-out win Saturday morning.
