First-place Eagles surge past Bravettes

Missoula Big Sky’s Kadynce Couture scored 17 points and the first-place Eagles outscored Flathead 42-16 over the middle two quarters of a 63-43 Western AA girls basketball win Tuesday.

Kennedy Moore scored a game-high 20 points for the Bravettes, and hit two 3-pointers to help the hosts to a 13-10 lead after one quarter. 

The Eagles (14-1 overall, 11-0 in Western A games) hit four threes in the second quarter on the way to a 30-22 halftime lead. Mya Hubbard scored 13 of her 15 points in the second and third quarters; Couture had 12 points in the third. 

Mattie Thompson scored 11 points off the bench for Flathead, which takes on Helena Capital at home Friday.
