Republican Women announce Chocolate Extravaganza winners
Flathead County Republican Women celebrated 35 years of chocolate earlier this month at their annual Chocolate Extravaganza. The evening included dinner and dancing, and lots of chocolate. Entertainment was provided by Wai Mizutani and his ensemble.
As is the tradition, chocolate donated by both professional and amateur chocolatiers was judged on appearance and taste.
For the second year in a row, Sugar Happy Cupcakes won Best of Show for Professional entry. The amateur chocolate Best of Show was an amazing chocolate-filled heart piñata donated by Cathy Mitchell.
A “dance-off” highlighting the longest marriages in the room was won by Ray and Ladeine Thompson who are celebrating 60 years of marriage this year.
