Wolfpack boys deal Capital its first loss

Glacier toppled Helena Capital from the undefeated ranks with a 48-34 win Saturday.

Capital is now 13-1 overall and 9-1 in Western AA.

Connor Sullivan paced Glacier (6-9, 5-6) with 17 points, which included three 3-pointers. Noah Dowler added 12 points, 10 of which were scored in the second half.

For Capital, Jacob Curry scored 15 points and Hayden Opitz had seven.

Joston Cripe scored 33 points, including seven in overtime, to lift the Flathead Braves to a 68-84 victory over the Helena High Bengals.

Cripe hit four treys and made 11 of 16 free throws. Luca Zoeller made eight of 15 free throws and scored 14 points for the Braves (3-12 overall, 3-8 Western AA).

For Helena (5-9, 4-6) Cael Murgel scored 15 points and Tevin Wetzel added 13.
