Columbia Falls boys down Browning 66-51

COLUMBIA FALLS — Host Columbia Falls out ran Browning for a 66-51 win Friday night.

Steady play for Jace Hill on the perimeter and Hunter Goodman inside set the tone for the Wildcats offensively.

Hill finished with 17 and Goodman tallied 19. The pair combined for 20 free throw attempts on the night. Maurice Redhorn III led the Indians with 14 points.

The Wildcats and Indians engaged in a back and forth battle early on that featured eight first half lead changes and saw both teams live at the free throw line in a foul-ridden 24 minutes of play. Both teams utilized a fast paced transition offense and various forms of press defense throughout the half.

The second half featured more of the same with Columbia Falls finding the extra gear to generate a 49-43 lead entering the fourth.

From there the Wildcats pulled away, outscoring the Indians by double digits in the final eight minutes of play.

The teams combined for 55 total free throw attempts on the night.
