Come rain or snow, the Hungry Horse Motocross race is a go this weekend as the OHV track will play host to an estimated 350 riders or more.

According to organizer Rick Carlon, the race is expected to draw 1,500 or more spectators Saturday and Sunday with two sessions each day. The Hungry Horse OHV track is located just off Colorado Boulevard in Hungry Horse. Those looking for the track can turn onto Colorado Boulevard in front of the forest ranger station and follow the road 1.25 miles before taking a left on the gravel road that leads to the track.

Online registration is available for the race through the High Country Motocross Association on their website at http://hcmamt.org/, but onsite signup will be available from 6-6:45 a.m., Saturday and Sunday.

Hosted by the Flathead Dirt Riders Association, the annual event is the nonprofit’s main fundraiser to help with upkeep and maintenance of the track.

The race is in need of flaggers for both days of the event. Volunteers will receive free entry and a meal each day. For more information, contact Carlon at 406-253-5249.
