| March 4, 2020 2:00 AM

F. Burr “Bob” Betts, 85, passed away in Green Valley, Arizona, on Feb. 21, 2020, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

Bob was born April 26, 1934, in Denver to Burr and Lucille Betts of Cherry Hills, Colorado. He graduated from Randall High School and studied at Denver University. He worked at Security Life Insurance with his father and grandfather.

Bob and his wife, Sharon, moved to Rollins in 1994, where he loved to take his boat and his family/friends out to show them around on Flathead Lake. Bob had a clever wit, was an avid reader, passionate about cars, loved to cook, a dedicated jazz fan and played the piano beautifully. He and Sharon moved to Green Valley in 2016 to a warmer climate.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Betts; daughter from a previous marriage, Lisa Cover and husband Wallis of Ardmore, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Chance Cover of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and Cayce Cover of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three stepchildren, Victoria West of Tucson, Arizona, Suzanne Schlieker and husband Brandon Schlieker of Fort. Lupton, Colorado, and Jeffrey West of Denver; three stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Kohl of Tucson, Jeremy West of Denver, and Barrett Schlieker of Fort Lupton; and two step-great-grandchildren.

In gratitude, we ask that tribute donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in the memory of Bob Betts.
