Balloon blowers just biding time

| June 6, 2020 1:00 AM

A mother called the Kalispell Police Department when she saw some teenagers blowing up balloons and “huffing the helium.” Officers didn’t pursue the issue further after the balloon-blowers said they were just waiting for their friends to finish basketball practice.

A man believed there was a “troubling woman” hanging out with his son and the son’s mother. He wanted to know if he could get the parties separated or at least find out their location.

A woman wanted advice on what to do in the future because her neighbor allegedly pepper-sprayed her dog. The pepper sprayer stated this happened after the dog went onto her property, but the dog owner said the dog was in a “contained privacy fence.”

A driver thought it “seemed off” that another driver had pulled over and appeared to be playing on her phone.

A 12-year-old cat who “doesn’t go out much” was apparently missing for four hours. Its owner thought it had been scared off by nearby construction.

Two “tiny kids” were observed in a vehicle by themselves. One of the passengers was apparently a baby in a car seat, and the other was a toddler “jumping around the front seats.” The caller said she watched this scene for about 10 minutes before the female driver of the car showed up.

A man mowing a lawn believed he and his crew came across a “bag of drugs.” The suspicious bag was collected.

A woman who was walking her dog said another dog approached her and “bit at” her dog twice in the same week. The owner of the “aggressive” dog was given a copy of the city’s dog ordinance and advised of the complaint.

A child accidentally called 911 when he was playing with a phone that his mother thought was deactivated.

A shopper at a big box store, who has apparently called the management there multiple times, was upset when an employee allegedly told her not to watch a conservative news channel because she was wearing a “Trump” hat.

Someone was suspicious of two people in a parking lot who they thought were “watching people and taking pictures of people.” It turned out they were a pair of grandparents waiting for their granddaughter to leave the store, and they were using an iPad, which “may have caused the confusion.”

Two men who were apparently harassing a woman warned her “if she calls the law enforcement again she will regret it.” The men apparently “stand outside her door until they can get her service dog to bark and go into fits.”
