Dogs vs. ducks ends in broken wing

A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office because she said two dogs attacked her pet ducks and she suspected one of the ducks had a broken wing.

An employee chased a man off their property after he stole the business’ flag pole, weight and cables. The suspect was easily identified by law enforcement since he was wearing the weight and cables around his neck.

Someone heard a car had been found in an unknown church parking lot and he called law enforcement to find out if it was his car, but there was no record of the alleged vehicle.

Someone called a friend to say he crashed his snowmobile and then lost cellphone service. He called back and said he was fine and with other friends.

A woman on Big Mountain could be overheard by dispatchers laughing about her phone accidentally calling 911. On another accidental call, a dispatcher could hear someone sigh before hanging up.

A woman said her intoxicated husband was threatening to drive, but then he came back inside so she said she no longer needed law enforcement’s help.

A man called law enforcement about a truck in a farmer’s field. He didn’t know for sure if the vehicle wasn’t supposed to be there, but he said he felt it was suspicious.

Tools were stolen from a job site.

Someone complained about visitors to the property shooting firearms there multiple days in a row.

A woman heard “third-hand” that there were people trying to break into a post office and jimmying locks on the boxes inside. It turned out they were two juveniles waiting for their mother to pick them up and they were trying to stay warm by going inside the post office.

A woman said her ex-boyfriend tried to hit her with his car while she was sitting in her vehicle.

During another couple dispute, a boyfriend apparently locked his girlfriend out of the house and she didn’t have any other keys.

A teenage girl was reported by a family member for “being insubordinate.”

A woman saw two children at a park and worried the youngest one didn’t appear to have a coat on. She told the Columbia Falls Police Department she believed “the kids are too young to be alone and unattended.”

A disorderly boy was told to calm down.

A store in Columbia Falls took in a counterfeit $100 bill over the weekend.

A woman whose ex-boyfriend lives in her garage called the police because he apparently wasn’t allowed in the actual house.

A vehicle was seen driving in the wrong lane on Railroad Street.
