Moving day goes haywire in Somers

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a moving truck reportedly smashing into a cable and phone line pole on School Addition Road in Somers, causing it to fall over a neighbor’s lawn.

A potential vigilante on Sunset Drive in Kalispell allegedly threatened to throw rocks at vehicles driving 50 mph up and down the roadway, saying it was an ongoing issue. The information was relayed to Montana Highway Patrol.

A lone red backpack was seen behind a building on U.S. 2 in Kalispell. A woman reportedly reviewed video footage of two men pull up, go through bags in their car and left one behind in the parking lot and thought they could possibly have dumped stolen property.

Neighbors on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse were allegedly partying too hard when someone reported loud music and voices and said it had been going on since the previous evening.

Two tires were allegedly slashed on a vehicle Conrad Drive in Kalispell and a property owner may have had some camera footage.

Someone calling from Hungry Horse claimed there were a lot of people camping on the east side of the river who were leaving trash everywhere.

A woman and her granddaughter were allegedly blocked from leaving a store by two men, one of whom, tried to have a conversation about her granddaughter “being of a different race” than her. The “whole experience felt very odd” to the woman who called Kalispell Police Department.

Someone thought there might be something wrong with a Pomeranian running loose in a field because it’s head appeared to be tipped to the side and it kept running in a circle.

An older man reportedly defaced some property and was refusing to leave. Police issued the man with a citation for trespassing.

A good neighbor may have done too good of a job at teaching a man how to “use 911” on his phone when a call went through to dispatchers.
