A 31-year-old stabbing victim remained in serious condition Sunday afternoon.

Hungry Horse resident Travis Bacon was stabbed multiple times at a address on Beta Road about a block or so behind the grocery store, according to Sheriff Chuck Curry. The stabbing was reported at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

A spokesman at Kalispell Regional Medical Center said Bacon’s condition had improved. Bacon was out of intensive care.

Curry said there are at least three stories about what happened, which the sheriff’s office is still trying to sort out.

“We have the guy who inflicted the injury in jail,” Curry said.

Christopher Croft, 20, was arrested and charged with attempted deliberate homicide.
