| January 15, 2011 2:00 AM

Donald Curtis Hagen, 78, passed away Jan. 12, 2011, in Kennewick Wash., at Callaway Gardens.

He was born to Gunnar and Betsy Hagen on Aug. 9, 1932, in Clearbrook Minn.

Don joined the Navy soon after high school as a boilerman. After his years in the service he entered the electrical field. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. local 768 until his retirement in 1997.

Don and Kathleen Roeder were married on Sept. 21, 1957. Kathleen passed away May 6, 2000, from cancer. They had three sons.

Don and Willetta Boehm were married on April 22, 2004. Willy cared for Don until his illness made it difficult for her to care for him at home.

Don was a devoted father, husband and friend. He was known for always having a smile and kind gentle nature. As a father, he was always there to lend a helping hand and give words of advice.

He was a wonderful role model for his sons. He enjoyed spending time with his sons fishing and bird hunting, and going to his grandchildren's ball games. He spent many of his winters in Vegas with his first wife Kathy and his friends. He loved to travel and go dancing with his second wife Willy.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife.

He is survived by his brother, Roger Hagen; and two sisters, Evelyn Boggess and Inez Cummings; his second wife, Willetta Boehm; his three sons, Curtis Hagen, Chris Hagen and Jerry Hagen; two grandchildren, Mandy Hagen and Nathan Hagen; and great-granddaughter, Alauna Hagen.

The family will be holding a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Jan. 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell. We welcome friends to join us in remembering all the blessings we have been given having Don in our lives.
