Wolfpack drops Bozeman

BOZEMAN - The Glacier Wolfpack made the plays when they mattered most on Friday.

The Wolfpack trailed the Bozeman Hawks by two touchdowns in the fourth quarter before rallying back and winning 41-35 in overtime in a spirited Class AA football game.

Glacier senior Justin Schenck intercepted a pass on the first play of overtime and Glacier regained the ball needing to score in order to win via overtime rules. On Glacier's second play, senior running back Taylor Hart plowed in for the clinching touchdown from the six-yard line. Hart finished with 70 yards and two rushing touchdowns for Glacier (2-1).

After a fumble recovery by Glacier linebacker Boyce Ballard gave the ball back to the offense, quarterback Shay Smithwick-Hann tied the game at 35-all in the final three minutes with a 48-yard touchdown run. Smithwick-Hann finished with three touchdowns on the ground and one in the air and totaled 103 yards rushing and 192 yards passing.

Glacier receiver Bryan Chery had 150 yards receiving and BJ Corpron caught a 6-yard touchdown pass in the fourth that pumped life into the Glacier comeback.
