Connie Monroe, 62

Connie Monroe, 62, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Connie was born April 24, 1947, in Wenatchee, Wash. She graduated high school in Wenatchee and, when she moved to Montana, she continued her education at Flathead Valley Community College.

Connie married Larry Monroe in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 1963. They were married for 45 years.

Connie worked as a paralegal. She also operated the Evergreen Women's Club for nearly 20 years. For anyone who received help during a tough Christmas season, Connie is the lady to thank.

She enjoyed fishing, hunting and doll making.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Connie is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Rodney Monroe and Shelly Long; sisters, Carol, Casey, Judy and Sandy Miracle; half sister, Lyn Hallack; grandchildren, Josh and Savannah Gausnell, and Ryan Danielson Monroe and Serra Monroe; and great-grandchildren, Kadence and Eden Gausnell.

A celebration of Connie's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at Faith Baptist Church in Kalispell. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the church.
