DeAna L. (Carrell) Zattosky, 48

DeAna L. (Carrell) Zattosky, 48, passed away on Sept. 2, 2009, in Kalispell surrounded by her husband, mother and daughter, after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 21, 1961, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Donny and Doris (Cocek) Carrell. Her early childhood years were spent in Ogden, Utah, until moving to Kalispell in 1973. DeAna graduated from Flathead High School in 1979. Most recently she attended her 30th high school reunion.

In 1980, she worked for Jordahl & Sliter CPA, where she spent 15 dedicated years. In the mid-'90s, she worked at Centurytel in customer service and then moving into dispatch. She spent the last four years at City Service Valcon.

In 1981, her daughter, Keaton, was born.

DeAna's passion for fishing and camping was developed in her early years, which led to many summer trips to the Snake River with her father and daughter. Her second passion was playing softball, which she did for many years. She also loved golfing and spent many summers playing in tournaments. She loved doing projects in ceramics, and different crafts. She spent many enjoyable hours with Fran, Casey, Ginger and Kris at her weekly ceramics class.

In the late '90s DeAna met the love of her life, Mike. They were married on May 4, 2002, in Kalispell. Their time together was filled with barbecues, blues concerts, cruises, visiting family in Florida and New York, golfing, fishing, socializing with friends, and spoiling their grandkids.

DeAna was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gary Warrant.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley "Mike" Zattosky Jr.; her mother, Doris Warrant, of Kalispell; father, Donny Carrell, of Texas; sister, Diane Carrell, of Kalispell; stepsisters, Cindy Nice and Carolyn Shoup; stepbrother, David Warrant; her daughter, Keaton (Carrell) Koski, and husband, Tony, and their children, Kelly, 8, Donovan, 6, and Victoria, 4, all of Newport, Wash.; stepdaughter, Shelly (Zattosky) Zikmund, husband, Randy, and their daughter, Hailey, and stepson, Stanley Zattosky III, and his son, Stosh Zattosky, all of Florida; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews .

Cremation has taken place with Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be giving to Hospice or the charity of your choice.

A gathering of friends will take place beginning at 3 p.m. Sept. 12, at the Eagles Lodge, 37 First St. West, in Kalispell.
