Sykes' Grocery and Market may be closed, but the annual tradition of a free Thanksgiving Day dinner will live on.

Since 1982, Sykes' annually gave free meals to hundreds of people on Thanksgiving.

That will continue as a community tradition of coming together to give thanks and enjoy a free meal, according to a news release from Samaritan House.

The community meal will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 26 at the Samaritan House Administration Building (the former armory building on Meridian Road).

Meals will be served at the Samaritan House location or they will be delivered to people's homes.

To volunteer, call Naomi at 752-7337. For meal delivery call 257-4357.

To donate to the effort - sponsored by a variety of groups and organizations - make checks payable to Harvest Ministries, P.O. Box 1985, Whitefish, MT 59937.
