Woody Hutchens, 63, went to live with Jesus on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009. Woodrow Garrison Hutchens Jr., was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Staunton, Va., to Woodrow G. and Glenna M. Wine Hutchens of Greenville, Va. He attended grade school and high school there. He joined the Air Force after graduation in 1964. He was later stationed in Lakeside, where he met his wife, KC. He was discharged from the Air Force in 1968. Woodrow and Katherine E. Cullen were married in 1968, and lived in Somers. Woody went to work at Anaconda Aluminum that same year. They moved to Columbia Falls to the family residence in 1978. Woody was an avid motorcyclist. He loved bow hunting carp, antelope and deer with his brother Tim of Gillette, Wyo. He enjoyed rifle hunting, especially for elk. For years the family enjoyed old car restoration. Woody also enjoyed collecting anything old. He was preceded in death by their daughter, Dixie Lee; his dad, and his brother, Houston, both of Virginia. He is survived by his mother, Glenna; sister, Mildred Simmons, and her family of Virginia; his wife, KC, at the family home; his son, Butch, his wife, Nova Lee, and their sons, Daniel and Jacob, and his daughter Katy Jo, and her sweetie, Greg, all of Columbia Falls; and his acquired children, TJ and Carol Toaves, and their son, Tyler, and Chrissy Frerich and her daughters, Brianna and Jayla, of Kalispell; many much loved brothers- and sisters-in-law; and too many good friends to count. His viewing is from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 20, at Columbia Mortuary. The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home, followed by burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
