Harold John King Jr., 63

Harold John King Jr., 63, "went with the Lord" Oct. 11, 2009, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center due to myocardial infarction. He was born Dec. 11, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Ind. He graduated in 1963 from South Side High School in Fort Wayne. He also attended Flathead Valley Community College, graduating with high honors. Harold served in the Army National Guard from September 1965 to September 1971. Harold was a sheriffa s deputy in Fort Wayne, and later served as sheriffa s deputy in Kalispell. After retirement, he went to work at Kalispell Junior High School as a crossing guard/monitor. His hobbies and interests included fishing, hunting, music, and building various collections. Harold also loved worshipping the Lord. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby DeLois Smith, and father, Harold John King. Harold is survived by his children, Julie Kelley of Grabill, Ind., Heather King, Melissa King and Suzanne King, all of Kalispell; stepdaughters, Barbie Swaim and Lori Miller, both of Leo, Ind.; sister, Karen Hedges, of Redmond, Ore.; grandchildren, Nik Kelly and McKenna Kelley of Grabill, and Haylee Burden and Aden Laisuthruklai, of Kalispell; nieces and nephews, Rachael Hedges and Abby Hedges of Redmond, and Carla Crane and Zack Crane of Hailey, Idaho. Burial has taken place at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Family Life Christian Church, located at 1075 Foys Lake Road, in Kalispell.
