Flathead County sheriff

A man recently released from jail returned to his girlfriend's residence only to find she had a restraining order against him. He didn't take that news well, so Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested him again. On the way back to jail he allegedly tried to kick the windows out of a patrol car and had to be further restrained.

The man living in a small tent on a vacant lot at the intersection of U.S. 93 and Montana 40 was just an itinerant traveler passing through the Valley.

A Cobbler Way couple were frightened by a man who threatened to put bullets in their heads.

Officers responded Friday to a grocery store on East Idaho Street for a man who was bothering customers, panhandling and confronting employees. He was arrested for trespassing after police responded to complaints about him for the third time.

When a woman asked a man to move his belongings out of her garage off Second Street West, he allegedly threatened retribution via the Internet.

Two young men allegedly jumped the fence to a business on U.S. 93 South and stole some tires.

After a foot pursuit beginning on 10th Street East, officers arrested a minor for possession of alcohol and obstructing police.

Columbia Falls police responded to 10th Avenue West after a person reportedly was bitten by a dog.

Two men were cited for disorderly conduct after getting into a fight on Ninth Street West.

Officers received 18 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to the middle school to treat a 13-year-old with a cut head.
