Woman shoots self during argument

Flathead County Sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to Valley Drive on Monday afternoon after a woman shot herself in the shoulder, reportedly to prove a point during a breakup with her boyfriend.

Tools were stolen from a job site in the Lakeside area. Guns were reported stolen from somewhere in the county.

No one was injured in a rollover crash north of Polebridge. Also early Monday morning, the driver of a pickup truck suffered minor injuries after rolling down a 40-foot embankment.

Deputies responded to a party at a home on U.S. 2 near Columbia Falls after a woman allegedly slapped and bit a man, then tried to attack his girlfriend, during an argument over child visitation.

A Harmony Road woman told deputies she was being harassed by her mother, who is accused of leaving threatening phone messages and then parked herself in the woman's driveway.

Hikers in Glacier National Park were reported missing after failing to return home on time.

Gunshots reportedly heard by a Hungry Horse resident turned out to be fireworks.

Deputies received 129 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police

A man at a bar on U.S. 93 South allegedly threatened another person and then tried to chase him away. Kalispell police responded.

Identification and a debit card were stolen at the library. Medication was stolen from a purse on Third Avenue West.

Officers determined that a gas leak on Northern Lights Boulevard presented no serious threat. The problem was fixed after firefighters and a repair crew responded.

An intoxicated man on Third Avenue East refused to stop yelling, despite a neighbor's request that he keep it down. He apparently was upset about his car being broken into.

Officers spoke with a Fourth Street West man who complained that his ex-girlfriend stole his car, which was found parked nearby.

An intoxicated man at an Airport Road bar refused to leave until police were called.

Holes were found in a window at a West Center Street building. A car was rifled through on Third Avenue East.

Officers received 60 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 25-year-old man for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing police after a fight outside a Central Avenue bar.

A 36-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were each arrested for driving without a valid license and without insurance during separate traffic stops on Seventh Street East and Creekwood Drive.

Officers received 44 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police were called to a domestic disturbance on Martha Road, but the apparent victim refused to cooperate.

Officers received 23 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

The Somers Fire Department responded to a field on U.S. 93 just north of the Montana 82 intersection after a combine caught fire.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to behind a building off U.S. 93 after a man fell off a horse and broke his leg.

The Coram Fire Department, Canyon Quick Response Unit and Three Rivers EMS were paged out to a Seville Lane residence to treat a man who injured his head falling from a truck. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision on First Avenue West, but no one was seriously injured.
