Betty L. Buck, 66, of Columbia Falls, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at her home in Columbia Falls. Betty was born in Cass Lake, Minn., on Sept. 19, 1943. She was the fifth child of Clarence and Agnes Graham.

In 1959, she met the love of her life, Stanley Buck, and they married on March 11, 1960. They had 49 wonderful years together.

She had 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Along with her grandchildren, she taught Head Start for many years and taught the nursery age kids in Vacation Bible School for more than 10 years. She loved children.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dale; sister, June; and brother, Richard.

Betty is survived by her husband, Stanley, of Columbia Falls; daughter, Faith, and Dean Calderwood, of Columbia Falls; brother, Louis, of Minnesota; sisters, Pat of Columbia Falls, and Babe of Minnesota; 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Lauri, Eric, Brittany, Jacob, Emily, Chris, Jenny, Trish and Brian; 11 great-grandchildren, Avari, Abi, Alex, Todd, Chloe, Emma, Charlie, Lanie, Mary, Cindy and Ben; as well as her mother-in-law, Lorna Buck, of Columbia Falls.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Oct.1, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls, with Pastor Jerry Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
