Alene "Pinky" Begg, 84

Alene "Pinky" Begg, 84, died March 21, 2009, at her daughter's home in Avery, Calif., surrounded by her loved ones. She suffered from Alzheimer's disease for many years. She was born May 22, 1924, in Rimbey, Alberta.

She had completed nursing training in Bozeman.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald V. Begg.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Dennis Begg of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Keith Begg of Pollock Pines, Calif., and Terry West of Avery; seven grandchildren, Kris Fichtner, Kelly Darby, Aaron Begg, Ian Begg, Brandi Brace, Sean Begg and Wesley Begg; and four great-grandchildren, Maddie Fichtner, Ethan Fichtner, Oscar Schaaf-Fichtner, and Nina Fichtner.

She was a longtime resident of Kalispell before moving to California with her family in 1963, where she resided in San Anselmo, Modesto, and finally in Avery with her daughter.

A graveside service was held March 26 where she was buried with her husband at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael, Calif.
