Jeanette J. (Marcure) 'Jean' Reynolds, 92

Jeanette J. (Marcure) "Jean" Reynolds, 92, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at the Brendan House in Kalispell, surrounded by family and friends. Jean was born June 28, 1916, the third daughter of John and Lyda (Dondanville) Bras, in Twin Bridges.

She was raised in Hot Springs, and graduated from high school in Spokane in 1934, and from Western Montana Teacher's College in Dillon in 1936.

In 1941, she married George Marcure in Missoula. After the second World War, they moved to Kalispell where they owned and operated the Northside Grocery for more than 20 years. After George's death in 1973, Jean moved to California where she married and was widowed by Dr. Alfred Rossomando and later by Arthur Reynolds.

Jean returned to Kalispell in 2000 to be near her sister, son and daughter.

Jean's family and friends will always treasure the memory of her wonderful smile, her zest for life, and her enjoyment of their company, whether on the golf courses of Montana or on the beaches of Hawaii.

Jean is survived by her two sisters, Pauline Albers of Seattle, and Roberta McLaughlin of Kalispell; her three children, Jack Marcure and wife, Nikki, of Fresno, Calif., Bill Marcure and wife, Jeannie, of Kalispell, and Janice Payne of Kalispell; her granddaughter, Kari Bentson and husband, Mark, with their children, Ryan and Abbey, of Billings; niece, Sharon Heaton, and great-nephew and -niece, Russ and Julie Heaton and family, of Kalispell.

A celebration of Jean's love and life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, with Pastor Glenn Burfeind of the First Presbyterian Church of Kalispell officiating. Urn burial will be after services at the Montana Veterans Home Cemetery.
