Kalispell police

Kalispell police reported that a 50-year-old man visiting his daughter in the obstetric ward at Kalispell Regional Medical Center was arrested on three counts of assault for allegedly attacking his wife and shoving his mother-in-law. He is also accused of threatening to punch a doctor.

A 51-year-old man was arrested for theft after he tried to steal a camcorder and camera from a store on U.S. 93 North.

Officers responded to Fifth Avenue West after receiving reports that a resident was shooting at the neighbor's dog with an air rifle. Turns out the intended target actually was a can.

A Glenwood Drive resident told officers a man had tried to get into the house. Apparently he was just handing out flyers.

Officers arrested a 27-year-old man on a city warrant for traffic violations after pulling him over on North Meridian Road.

Officers visited a Liberty Street residence and arrested a 40-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant for theft.

Mirrors were torn off cars in the parking lot of a bar on U.S. 93 South.

Officers received 63 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Flathead County sheriff

Workers at the animal shelter notified Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after a pet owner came to pick up the animal but left without paying the impound fee.

A Hungry Horse resident who had something stolen last week called deputies about a possible prowler after hearing a dog bark.

A possibly drunk driver and an accompanying disturbance were reported on Flathead Drive, but the suspect was gone when deputies arrived.

Someone jumped the fence to a truss business of U.S. 93 South, drove around in a work truck, then parked it.

Two people have been separated for seven years. Recently, one allegedly began harassing the other. Deputies were called to referee the dispute.

Deputies were called to investigate a stalking complaint at an Evergreen convenience store.

A dog was reported stolen on Collier Lane, and a horse got loose on Rogers Road near Columbia Falls.

Vehicles got stuck in the water near Leisure Island.

Deputies were called to break up disturbances on Spotted Bear Road in Hungry Horse, on East Evergreen Drive, and on Parliament Drive.

Deputies received 156 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 50 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports that a man and woman were assaulted on Sixth Street West. Both went to the hospital.

Officers received 34 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The ALERT helicopter and Big Mountain Ambulance were paged to a resort clinic, where someone was having difficulty breathing.

The Olney Fire Department was paged out to a chimney fire on Olney Loop.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Sixth Street West after a 4-year-old child fell more than six feet. The child was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
