ALERT helicopter flew to Kootenai Falls near Libby on Saturday afternoon to rescue a man from an island on the Kootenai River.

The man was dropped off in Libby and didn't require medical attention from Kalispell Regional Medical Center, according to a Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatcher.

Columbia Falls police

A Ninth Street West resident, who recently got a new mobile home after losing her old house to a fire, took another hit Saturday afternoon when a man drove into her home. Columbia Falls police arrested the 52-year-old driver for driving under the influence.

Bikes were reported stolen from an apartment complex on Seventh Street West and a bar on Nucleus Avenue.

A boat and trailer were reported stolen on Ninth Street West.

Officers received 22 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested an 18-year-old woman for shoplifting at an Evergreen box store. A boy caught shoplifting at the same store also confessed to taking items from box stores in Kalispell.

A school employee reportedly was threatened by a difficult parent.

Deputies arrested one person while investigating a stolen vehicle complaint. The vehicle was towed.

Deputies arrested a young man for driving under the influence, and took his dog to the pound.

A vehicle was spray-painted in a Bigfork bank parking lot Friday night.

A Browns Meadow Drive resident complained that his neighbor's pigs keep getting out and tearing up his lawn.

Lower Valley Road residents recently caught up in a lawsuit still haven't resolved their differences. The neighbor who won the suit complained that the person who lost the suit called him bad names and glared at him.

Possible poaching was reported on Columbia Mountain Drive.

Drug paraphernalia was found in the restroom of a box store in Evergreen.

Credit card fraud, reportedly involving more than $9,000 in transactions, was reported Saturday afternoon.

Deputies received 158 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

Someone complained about loud evangelizing on the corner of Center and Main streets Friday night. A Kalispell police officer investigated but said the evangelist wasn't disorderly.

The loud pray-er at a Saturday farmers market was disorderly, so an officer asking him to move along.

A large, two-person hammock disappeared off a front porch on Sixth Avenue East.

A burglar apparently used a ladder to enter a kitchen window on North Meridian Road Friday night. When the resident returned Saturday, a safe containing documents and $5,500 cash were missing.

A checkbook, receipt book and briefcase were stolen from a pickup parked on Seventh Avenue East.

An accident on East Idaho Saturday afternoon resulted in two arrests - a woman on an outstanding warrant and a man charged with resisting arrest, obstructing an officer, driving without insurance and following too closely. A 16-year-old girl involved in the accident went to the hospital with a head injury.

Police received 86 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 37 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department ambulance took a pedestrian who crossed paths with a car to the emergency room Friday afternoon.

A one-vehicle rollover turned into a four-car accident on U.S. 93 South Saturday. Kalispell paramedics took at least one person to the hospital.

A girl was assaulted, reportedly during a fight on Ridgewood Drive. Kalispell paramedics took her to the hospital.

The Somers and South Kalispell fire departments were paged out to a garage and pickup on fire on Rimini Road in Lakeside early Saturday morning.

A flower bed somehow caught fire on Conrad Drive. South Kalispell firefighters responded.
