County forms new board that will oversee Emergency Medical Services

Flathead County has established a new Emergency Medical Services Administrative Board and is taking letters of interest for three board positions.

The board was formed to administer EMS tax revenue through Flathead County Office of Emergency Services.

It also is responsible for adopting rules for emergency medical services and has the authority to define levels of care within each response unit, balancing state protocols with local policies and procedures.

One member will serve a term ending on Dec. 31, 2010, one member will serve a term ending Dec. 31, 2011, and one member will serve a term ending Dec. 31, 2012.

A letter of interest, including name, address, daytime phone number, and qualifications should be submitted by Aug. 24 to: Flathead County Commissioners, 800 South Main, Kalispell, MT 59901.
