About 1,300 people lost power Friday morning when a breaker on Bridge Street in the Bigfork area malfunctioned. The outage, which occurred about 11 a.m. and lasted 27 minutes, affected most of the Bigfork area, according to a spokeswoman with the Flathead Electric Cooperative. Authorities don't yet know what caused the breaker to fail.

Flathead County sheriff

A dispute between two men over a campground near the Hungry Horse Reservoir escalated until one of them pulled a knife. So, of course, the other pulled a gun. No one was injured. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies are investigating.

Kalispell police

A father called Kalispell police to file a complaint against a man who he says is a pimp and is destroying his daughter's Bigfork business.

A dog was reported stolen from a truck parked in the lot of a U.S. 93 North Department store.

Employees of a Fourth Avenue East North coffee stand called to complain about the man asking their customers for money.

Passersby found a bong and other drug paraphernalia in Woodland Park. The items were handed over to police.

No one was injured in a four-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at Main and 11th streets.

A man keeps leaving a Fifth Avenue West woman messages on her cell phone, but she doesn't know who he is.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responding to Dakota Avenue arrested an 18-year-old man for violating the terms of his probation.

Officers received 36 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

Three Rivers EMS responded to Frontage Road outside Columbia Falls to treat a toddler who reportedly shot herself in the mouth with a BB gun. She was not taken to the hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Bigfork Ambulance were paged out to Flathead Lodge Road to treat a man having a reaction to a bee sting. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Somers Fire Department and Office of Emergency Services were called to clean up a gas spill at the boat launch in Somers.

Three Rivers EMS responded to Nucleus Avenue to treat am elderly woman suffering from heat stroke. She was taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Canyon Quick Response Unit and Three Rivers EMS treated a person with a dislocated knee at a Hungry Horse camp.

The Evergreen Fire Department extinguished a quarter-acre grass fire on Kings Way.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a motorcycle crash at the intersection of U.S. 2 and Montana 35. The rider, a man, was taken to the hospital.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to City Beach Friday afternoon after two Jet-Skis collided, injuring one of the riders. The injured party was taken to North Valley Hospital with rib injuries.
