Employees of a Bigfork convenience store asked Flathead County Sheriff's deputies to remove a man who buys a coffee in the morning, then stands around all day for the free refills. The man was told to move along.

Roommates got into an argument on Montana 35. One of them was being too loud, apparently. Deputies were called back to the residence a couple hours later after one tried to evict the other.

A low-flying aircraft in the Farm To Market Road area turned out to be a crop duster.

Four-wheelers were reported stolen on Frontage Road and on Fourth Avenue West North outside Columbia Falls. A small work vehicle also went missing on Fourth Avenue West North.

A man smashed out the windshield of a car parked outside a Hungry Horse bar. The vehicle's owner watched the man do it and knows who he is.

Someone stole a safe from a Twin Pines Drive home. The back window of a car in the Presentine Bar area was smashed out and miscellaneous items were taken.

People showed up at a home on U.S. 93 near Whitefish asking to use the phone to call the Sheriff's Office. However, they then made comments about the resident's belongings and a cell phone in one of their pockets rang.

A woman swimming in Woods Bay on Flathead Lake got into some trouble and yelled for help, but she got out on her own.

Passers-by observed a man in dark clothing sitting in some bushes on Montana 35 in Evergreen, just watching. He bolted when he was spotted.

U.S. marshals were in town Tuesday to serve warrants on area fugitives. Among those arrested were a 63-year-old man wanted for sexually abusing a minor and a 52-year-old man wanted for hitting another person with a beer bottle during a bar fight.

Deputies received 151 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

A woman called Kalispell police claiming a man was abusing his girlfriend on North Meridian Road. Turns out the caller is actually the man's ex-girlfriend, and officers were unable to find any evidence of criminal activity.

Officers responded to Seventh Avenue East after a woman returned home to find the door wide open, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Kids again congregating in the parking lot of a grocery store on First Avenue East North were dispersed.

Money was stolen from a car on Woodland Avenue. A camera was taken from a car on Third Avenue East. An expensive TV and video games went missing from a home, also on Third Avenue East.

A woman went to her sister's Second Street West residence to pick up a set of keys, but the boyfriend slammed the door in her face. Suspecting an abusive relationship, she called police.

A man almost hit a pedestrian after his car was pelted by water balloons on Eighth Avenue West.

Officers received 97 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 50-year-old woman on suspicion of DUI and driving without insurance during a traffic stop outside a Baker Avenue grocery store.

Officers received 50 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 29 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Hungry Horse Fire Department and Martin City Fire Department extinguished a small grass fire along U.S. 2.

The Hungry Horse Fire Department, Martin City Fire Department, and Canyon Quick Response Unit were paged out to Old U.S. 2 after a car hit a utility pole, resulting in fallen power lines. The driver was not taken to the hospital.
