Mark Alan Dougherty, 53

Mark Alan Dougherty, 53, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009, from complications following a motorcycle accident. Mark was born in Kansas City, Mo., and raised in Montana by his parents, John "Bud" and Noma Dougherty, now deceased.

Mark had lived in Jacksonville, Fla., for the last 20 years and was an active, beloved member of Church of Pentecost.

He was a registered professional nurse, but his wide range of talents and skills also included project consultant and analyst, extensive technical training and knowledge for computers and software, master carpentry skills and freelance Web design and management.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Steve.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 28 years, Cherry Dougherty. He is also survived by his children, Alycia Baker and husband, David, Shea Dougherty, and Cory Dougherty and wife, Samantha; grandchildren, Jacob and Brookelyn Baker, and Curtis and Caden Dougherty, all of Florida; and his brothers, John Dougherty and Mike Dougherty, of Kalispell.

Funeral services were held in Jacksonville. Burial and graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell. A reception will follow at the home of John Dougherty, 760 Shadow Lane, Kalispell.
