Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Coverdell Road after a man called to complain that his 48-year-old neighbor was trying to break through the doorway, reportedly to punch him and his wife. The neighbor left when the man pepper-sprayed her, but deputies tracked down the woman and arrested her on suspicion of probation violation. The altercation reportedly started because the man wouldn't pick up a neighbor, who had suffered a heart attack, at the emergency room.

Pills were reported stolen on Blaine View Lane. A key was reported stolen on Shady Lane.

Someone tried to use a rock to break through the window of an Evergreen pharmacy, but failed.

Deputies responded to an Evergreen junior high after receiving reports that a parent coming to pick up his child had been drinking in the bar all day. The parent hadn't, it turns out.

Deputies were asked to look for a car on U.S. 93 after a passing driver noticed a passenger flashing a sign that said, "help me."

People on Cedar Lane got into a fight about a pair of skis.

Deputies received 154 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

A man who attempted to collect $8 from an employee of a motel on East Idaho Street was accused of harassment, possibly because he had been kicked out of the motel previously. Kalispell police counseled both parties involved.

Officers arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI after she ran her car into a snowbank on Eighth Avenue West. In an unrelated incident, officers arrested a man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue East.

A car hit a young man on U.S. 93 South and continued on. The young man told a passer-by he wasn't hurt and then took off himself.

A patron at a bar on First Avenue West called to report that another man was threatening to shoot someone. The suspect, it turns out, was joking.

A Canadian woman reported getting strange calls from a Kalispell woman asking for pills.

Two men in hooded sweaters were spotted messing around vehicles.

Officers were called to Liberty Street after a 15-year-old probationer would not get up for school.

Officers ticketed a disgruntled tenant of a Fourth Avenue West North building on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Officers received 54 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police were called to Seventh Avenue after an intoxicated man fell and hurt himself. Authorities were called after a passer-by spotted the man crawling down the road.

Officers arrested a 50-year-old man at a downtown bookstore on a warrant for accountability to criminal mischief.

Officers received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of DUI, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on First Avenue East.

Officers received 15 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department was called to a nearby timber mill after somebody thought he saw smoke rising. The smoke turned out to be steam.

The Bigfork Fire Department responded to Bridge Street after somebody smelled gas.

The ALERT helicopter and Marion Fire Department responded to a rollover crash on U.S. 2 near Marion. A woman, who had to be extricated, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Big Mountain Ambulance took two people injured in a Galande Street crash to North Valley Hospital.

The Blankenship Fire Department responded to a Coram bridge after a freight train collided with the trailer of a truck. No one was injured.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to reports of a chimney fire on Foy's Lake Drive.
