Divisional champ C. Falls aims for another state title

Flathead Valley schools took the top three places at the Class A divisional tournament Jan. 24 in Ronan.

Three-time defending state champion Columbia Falls won the tournament for the fourth-straight year, finishing with 175 points. Whitefish came in second with 111 points and Bigfork finished third with 23 points.

Polson, Ronan and Libby - which competes only in drama - rounded out the tournament.

Whitefish head coach Pat McLaughlin was voted Coach of the Year for the Class A Northwest Division.

The teams compete Friday and Saturday at the Class A state tournament in Butte.
