Michael John Eve, 49

Michael John Eve, 49, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. Michael was born Aug. 13, 1959, in Great Falls, to Jean F. and Mary Ellen (Conover) Eve. Michael was a graduate of the University of Montana.

He married Valarie Peres at Ryan Dam in 1997.

Michael had currently worked as the chief financial director and assistant city manager for the city of Whitefish. He was president of the Montana Institute of Municipal Clerks, and served on the board of directors for the Flathead County Solid Waste District. He was the 2008 Government Worker of the Year also.

Michael was a member of the Rotary Club, and was active with his son in hockey, baseball and soccer.

He enjoyed skiing and snowboarding with our son Dylan, spending time at the cabin, and living life to its fullest with our family and friends.

Michael is survived by his wife of 11 1/2 years, Valarie Eve, of Whitefish; parents, Jean and Mary Ellen Eve, of Great Falls; sons, Dylan Eve of Whitefish, and Brandon and wife, Rhonda Jaraczeski, of Great Falls; parents-in-law, Fred and Jean Peres, of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers, Joe, Jon and Tim Eve; and sisters, Cindy and Sue Eve; two grandchildren, Rylee and Jersey Jaraczeski; nine nephews, Grant, Jacques, Dustin, Kris, Bridger, Dustin, Drake, Hunter and Josh; 10 nieces, Teresa, Katie, Josi, Miranda, Lacy, Shea, Shelby, Kalee, Spencer and Amy; goddaughters, Shea and Little Lorena; and literally hundreds of cousins, aunts and uncles. He loved you all!

A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Whitefish, with a wake afterward at Sherwoods Bar and Grille in Whitefish. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Park Side Federal Credit Union towards Dylan Eve's college educational fund.
