A man wanted by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine is thought to be in the Flathead Valley area. Alfonzo Pena, 32, is to be treated with extreme caution, according to authorities. He is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair, and weighing 170 pounds. A Rhodes Draw woman told deputies a telemarketer was verbally abusive and threatened to come over and blow her head off.

Items not returned to a rental business on Montana 83 in Bigfork were reported stolen.

Animal wardens responded to Kings Loop after a resident was charged by two dogs, a rottweiler mix and a small poodle. The dogs' owner was ticketed.

Someone went into a Goodrich Road woman's greenhouse and trampled on some of the things inside.

A Tall Pine Ridge woman told deputies her ex-husband broke into her house. There was nothing missing, but she wanted to discuss the matter with a deputy.

An argument between a woman and her daughter on the side of U.S. 2 was called in by a passer-by. Neither woman wanted to pursue charges.

Deputies ticketed a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of stealing cosmetics from a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Deputies responded to numerous slide-ins and noninjury crashes, including wrecks on U.S. 2, River Road, Montana 206, U.S. 93, and Montana 35.

Deputies received 142 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to Third Avenue West after a woman called to report that her mother's roommate was chasing her son with a knife. Officers ended up arresting a woman on suspicion of DUI.

Officers counseled two men, reportedly surrounded by a group of youths on Summit Ridge Drive, about fighting.

Officers arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Meridian Road.

A Bluestone Drive woman told officers her 17-year-old son's girlfriend was asked to leave but refused to go.

Officers responded to domestic disturbances on 12th Street West and Second Avenue East. The arguing parties in both instances were separated.

Someone watching a fight while standing on a vehicle at Glacier High School allegedly damaged it.

A panhandler in front of a Third Avenue East North liquor store was gone when officers arrived.

A purse was stolen from a car on Second Avenue West and a wallet went missing from a car at a bar on U.S. 93 South.

Officers received 64 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of driving without insurance and obstructing police during a traffic stop on Wisconsin Avenue.

A pressure washer was taken from a car parked outside a Baker Avenue casino.

Officers received 41 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports of a fight on Railroad Street and Seventh Avenue East North.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old woman on a city warrant for failing to appear after she was pulled over near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Montana 40.

Officers received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Ninth Avenue West after an 11-year-old boy began choking on an apple. The boy, who was fine after paramedics arrived, was not taken to the hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department also responded to a crash on Hawthorne Avenue. The people involved were not injured badly enough for paramedics to take them to the hospital.

Whitefish Ambulance responded to a lodge on U.S. 93 after a man suffered a head injury. He was taken to North Valley Hospital.

Bigfork Ambulance responded to a one-vehicle slide-in on Montana 82, but the driver was not injured.

Three Rivers EMS responded to 13th Street West in Columbia Falls to treat a 9-year-old boy who was having difficulty breathing after an allergic reaction. He was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

The Olney Fire Department responded to a rollover crash on U.S. 93 near Dickey Lake.

The Creston Fire Department and Bigfork Ambulance responded to a head-on crash on Foothill Road. No one was transported. They also responded to a two-vehicle crash on South Many Lakes Drive.
