Helen Steinberg, 83

Helen Steinberg, 83, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. She was born on Oct. 12, 1925, in New York to Benjamin and Molly Engleman.

Helen married Marty Steinberg on June 17, 1948, in New York City. They grew up together and were childhood friends, then became sweethearts and were truly lifelong soulmates; "and are now happily together again."

Helen enjoyed playing cards and visiting friends at Syke's. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three brothers, Harry, Al and Eddie.

She is survived by a daughter, Michele and Les Barnett, and two sons, Scott and Julie Steinberg, and Mitch and Deb Steinberg, all of Kalispell; grandchildren, Justin and Michelle Barnett of Kalispell, Brandon and Avigale Barnett of Brooklyn, N.Y., Stacie Martin and Aimee Owens of Kalispell, Ryan Steinberg of Watertown, N.Y., and Aaron Steinberg of Camron, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Evan, Aaron, Ashlie, Rylie, Hayden, Michael, Roman and Noam.

Graveside services for Helen were held on Friday, Feb. 13, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
