Kalispell police

A taxi driver took a microwave and a chair from a passenger Saturday evening when she refused to pay more than the fare on the meter, Kalispell police reported. People at the cab company hung up twice on calls from the police. The case is being investigated.

At a traffic stop on West Idaho Street and Meridian road Saturday evening, police arrested a 26-year-old man on a warrant.

Police arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing officers on Bluestone early Sunday morning.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating an assault that resulted in a man receiving cuts and broken bones early Saturday evening on 13th Street West.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting Sunday.

Police logged 20 calls from 3:30 p.m. Saturday to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested 44-year-old woman on suspicion of disorderly conduct and driving with a suspended license in the downtown area Saturday afternoon.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of shoplifting in the downtown area Saturday afternoon.

Police arrested a 22-year-old woman on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, and no registration and insurance, on U.S. 93 South on Saturday evening.

Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving in the downtown early Sunday morning.

Police logged 49 calls from 3:30 p.m. Saturday to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Flathead sheriff

A train hit an elk west of Whitefish late Saturday evening, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported.

A dog was taken to the animal shelter after it killed some chickens on Parliament Drive on Sunday.

A purse was stolen Sunday afternoon from a vehicle at an Evergreen box store.

Big Mountain Ambulance took a person with a broken leg to North Valley Hospital on Sunday morning.

The ALERT helicopter took a person from Ferndale to Kalispell Regional Medical Center early Saturday evening. The helicopter took someone from Lake Mary Ronan to the hospital earlier in the day.
