Elma Miller, 64

Elma Miller, 64, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at her home in Kalispell. She was born on Dec. 16, 1944, in Brigham City, Utah, to Leonard and Beryl (Grant) Dickey. She was raised in Honeyville, Utah. Elma attended elementary school in Bear River, Utah, and received her GEDin Roseburg, Ore., in 1987.

Elma attended Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, receiving her business degree in 1989.

Elma married Jim Miller in Kalispell in 1962. She worked as the secretary for the Church of Christ for many years, and for Orphans Lifeline of Hope in Kalispell for eight.

She was a great homemaker, and a wonderful Christian mother to her children. Elma enjoyed playing music for the senior citizens in many places. Her hobbies included sewing, swimming, traveling, music and clogging.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beryl Schnell.

Elma is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jim Miller; her children, Roger Miller, Linc Miller, Loren Lee Miller, Darla Koch and Victoria Miller; siblings,Stuart Dickey, Steve Dickey, Eloise Taylor (twin), and Colleen Clausen; and grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Leland, Chase, Marina and Waylon Miller.

Private family burial has taken place at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Glacier Church of Christ in Columbia Falls.

The family requests memorials be made in Elma's name to Orphan's Lifeline of Hope, P.O. Box 1100, Kalispell, MT 59903.
