Martha May Buzzell, 97

Martha May Buzzell "entered into rest" on Aug. 15, 2009, and this earth lost a very special soul. Martha was born April 20, 1912, in Cottonwood, north of Havre, to William and Cora Staples.She married Curtis Jay Buzzell, March 28, 1931.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Arthur.

She is survived by daughters, Luann Copeland of Helena, and Joyce Jensen and Ralph of Valley, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Carol Buzzell, of Kalispell; and two sons, Bill Buzzell of Big Sky, and DeWayne Buzzell and Janice of Spokane. She had 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She was raised on the family homestead, managed a hotel in Glasgow, later moved to Coram where she owned grocery stores, worked in the post office, and worked as a cook. Martha was active in the development of the Coram Water Department, and was a member ofthe Coram Community Church and Ladies Aid.She enjoyed gardening and her dog Skippy.

Martha enjoyed seeing the ocean and Disneyland with some of her grandchildren.

A special thanks to the staff of Wel-Life Assisted Living, Kalispell, and to Barbara Glass, her first grandchild, who was always there to take care of her and be her friend.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. Call the mortuary for the time ofvisitation.
