Jason Wade Rauthe, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born Jan. 24, 1974, to Brad and Susan (Riddle) Rauthe in Kalispell.

Jason graduated from Columbia Falls High School in 1992, then furthered his education with the Mountain States Line Construction Apprenticeship Training (MSLCAT), becoming a journeyman lineman in February of 2001.

He met the love of his life, Trina Wolfe, and they started dating Oct. 14, 1991. The two of them were married on May 25, 1995, in Kalispell at Faith Free Lutheran Church. They had two children, Jaclyn and Hunter, to whom Jason devoted his life. They loved Montana deeply and shared a love of hunting, rafting, four-wheeling and camping at McGinnis Meadows while entertaining friends and family.

Jason started his working career as a carpenter for Timothy Martin Construction. He then worked for Flathead Electric Co-op on the brush crew before furthering his education with MSLCAT and becoming a journeyman lineman/serviceman for Flathead Electric Co-op. He was surrounded by a camaraderie of fellow workers who always enjoyed Jason's energy for hunting and family values. He was also a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Jason was many things to many people. He was an admired son, an amazing husband and father, and devoted brother, uncle, nephew, and friend to many.

Jason was preceded in death by grandparents, Carl and Lillian Rauthe, and Ralph Riddle; and his uncles, Bruce Rauthe and Wayne Riddle.

He is survived at the family home by his wife of 14 and a half years, Trina Rauthe, their oldest daughter, Jaclyn Rauthe, 14, and son, Hunter Rauthe, 10, from Somers; mother, Susan, and father, Brad Rauthe, from Kalispell; brother, Chad Rauthe, and wife, Sandra, from Parker, Colo.; grandmother, Dorothy Hartsoch, from Kalispell; and numerous other family members.

Funeral services for Jason will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at the Christian Center/Assembly of God, 255 Summit Ridge Dr., in Kalispell. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. After the cremation, Jason's remains will be spread at his favorite hunting spot.

The family suggests that memorials be given to the Rauthe Children Education Fund at Glacier Bank.
