Olive L. Burgin Field, 85

Olive L. Burgin Field, 85, passed away Sept. 16, 2006, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

Olive was born in Fairland, Okla., on May 17, 1921.

On Sept. 30. 1940, she married Emery Burgin, who passed away Sept. 10, 1987. She was then married to Bob Field, who passed away in April 2001.

Olive and Emery were in the restaurant business in the Cut Bank area for more than 40 years.

She never met a stranger, and will be known for her compassion, sense of humor, and good nature. She not only knew everyone by name but also what they ate for breakfast every morning in the breakfast club at Burgin's Caf/. In her younger years, you could always find her at the local golf course.

She was a member of the Soroptimist, Daughters of the Nile, First Presbyterian Church and Women of the Moose.

She is survived by children, Nancy Hagen of Kalispell, Sandi McAlpine of Cut Bank, Patrick Burgin of Meridian, Idaho, and Kathy Ehlert of Cut Bank; stepchildren, Charlan Bachmeier of Seattle, Vicki and Tom Harmon of Silverton, Idaho, Jody and Bonnie Field of Valier, and Willie Carroll of Frenchtown; eight grandchildren, David Hagen of Orting, Wash., Jana Leo of Pocatello, Idaho, Ten Whitesitt of Three Forks, Cole McAlpine and Sarah Anato of Cut Bank, Amy Ehlert of Kalispell, Heather Wenker of Reno, Nev., Ashley Burgin and Jessica Bartley of Boise, Idaho; nine great-grandchildren and 11 stepgrandchildren.

She also is survived by three sisters and one brother, Dorcas Hillman of Sheidler, Okla., Bonnie and Jim Troutt of Springfield, Mo., Laura and Don Boe of Labarge, Wyo., and Gene and Mary Lou Roberts of Grove Okla.; and favorite cousin, Harry Jordon, of Oklahoma.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Cut Bank.
