John Higson, 70

John Higson, 70, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at North Valley Hospital.

John was born July 31, 1936, in Columbia Falls. He was the youngest of four children which included Elizabeth Ramey, Robert Higson and Charles Higson. Also to include cousin Donna Tanaka whom the Hinsons raised from the age of 5. John was the son of late Harry and May Higson of Columbia Falls.

He graduated from Columbia Falls High School as a great football player, and started working at Plum Creek and then retired from Columbia Falls Aluminum Company. He was avid bowler and enjoyed camping with his family.

He was survived by his three sons, Fred, Jeff, and Barry; sister, Elizabeth; two brothers, Robert and Charles, and numerous nieces, and nephews.

'We will all miss him very much and remember him having a heart as big as the Montana valley he called home. We are sure whenever we hear the thunder roll it is John throwing a perfect bowling game he had always strived for.'

Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Columbia Mortuary, and services will be graveside at Glacier Memorial Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Monday.
