Callers' topics included a bear or two that reportedly chased a girl in Marion, and a moose that died in a collision with a vehicle near McGregor Lake. A deer also got the rough end of an encounter with a vehicle.

A woman was reportedly hurt in a domestic incident at the veterans home. She went to North Valley Hospital.

A dog was shot on Three Eagle Lane.

It was too late Wednesday night for the yelling that happened in a neighborhood near Columbia Falls.

Bill collectors posed as police and tried other tricks when they called a business, looking for an employee.

A sexual assault was reported on Bear Creek Road. Someone put sand in a front-end loader on Whitefish Stage Road.

A woman near Whitefish discovered that someone opened an American Express account in her name and transferred balances from other accounts to it. Credit-card fraud also was reported on Helena Flats Road.

A man reportedly went into a home on West Cottonwood Drive, put his hands on a 14-year-old boy's throat and pushed him against a wall.
