Those interested in checking out the automobile action for "Bullrun," Spike TV's new reality series, can do so all morning today in downtown Whitefish.

The pre-shoot begins at 8:30 a.m. at the corner of Central Avenue and Railway Street in front of the O'Shaughnessy Center.

During this time, locals will have the opportunity to check out the vehicles that will compete for the $200,000 prize and 2007 Bullrun trophy.

The actual filming begins at 10:30 a.m. and will last for about an hour and a half. Producers hope locals will participate as extras by lining the streets and cheering for the contestants.

"Bullrun," which is scheduled to air next spring, pits 12 two-driver, one-vehicle teams in a 3,000-mile-plus rally across the country.

The program is based on the actual Bullrun rally, in which high-end cars race to various destinations across the United States.

Like the real rally, the show's contestants don't know in advance where they're going each day. Unlike the actual Bullrun, however, the vehicles aren't all luxury cars.

None of the teams will know what their opponents are driving until they line up today.
