The Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatched rescuers to the Middle Fork of the Flathead River near Belton on Sunday evening when a raft was found upside down in a log jam. No one was hurt.

An assault was reported in Hungry Horse. A man reported harassment by his ex-wife near Columbia Falls.

Three people called in concerns about a man sitting next to the guardrail on U.S. 93 Sunday. He went to a motel for the night.

One mystery was solved when a deputy found the source of something that smelled dead behind the House of Mystery: Deer carcasses.

On Riverside Road, a resident reported a bobcat acting strangely. The cat got into an attack position when menaced by a person with a stick.

A $1,000 papillon dog wearing a pink collar with a rhinestone bone was reported stolen near Whitefish.

Someone tied two dogs to the back of a woman's truck on Shady Lane. She can't keep them. On Big Mountain road, a woman's cat was found with a blow dart stuck in its face. In other animal news, a cow is missing from Bear Grass Ranch, a cow was loose on Montana 35, dogs chased cattle on Clark Drive, and a black bear was reported on Belton Stage Road.

West Valley School was hit with paintballs.

A search was under way Monday for a woman who was missing in the Whitefish area. She reportedly made statements that concerned her friends.

A brother is allegedly harassing his sister by passing out writings and pictures of her.
