after a confrontation with an employee turned ugly.

The employee hadn't shown up for work at Whalen Tire in Kalispell, so when the man saw the truant worker driving around, he followed him and asked why he wasn't at work.

The employee told him the store was a joke, then hit him on the side of the head with a big travel mug and threatened to kill him.

A man reported his gun missing after an oil change at 10 Minute Quick Lube in Kalispell. He said he'd had it in the center console of his pickup when he went in for the oil change, but when he got back into his vehicle, the gun was gone.

A Little Caesars employee reported his bike missing when he got off work Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, his mother called to say the bike had turned up at Evergreen Junior High.

Another bike was reported stolen from a house in Olney.

A tri-fold ramp and tool for loading vehicles was stolen from a home on Helena Flats Road.

A yellow Yamaha three-wheeler was stolen from Kidsport Complex.

A man reported his 14-foot aluminum boat missing Wednesday morning. It had been chained to his dock on Lake Blaine. He called the Sheriff's Office later to tell them he'd found the boat. The chain appeared to have been cut.

A group of youths in a loud truck fired guns at a home on Farm to Market Road in the Logan Meadows area. They also damaged several mailboxes and littered the area with beer cans.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving Tuesday evening.

A man and a woman were arrested on separate warrants Wednesday.
