Kenneth Keith 'Kenny' Cameron, 84

Kenneth Keith "Kenny" Cameron, 84, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2006, at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

He was born on June 12, 1922, in Rapid City, S.D., the second of 10 children born to Archie and Hazel (Horton) Cameron. Kenneth moved with his family to Montana at an early age.

He worked in the Round Butte area as a farm hand and at various mines around Montana. In the '40s Kenneth drove for Intermountain Bus Company driving the route from Kalispell to Bonners Ferry.

Kenneth married Marie Hyatt in 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and the couple lived in Utah and Nevada. Kenny owned and operated his log truck at Libby, Mont., Idaho and Utah.

He spent 15 years as a heavy duty mechanic in Las Vegas. After Marie's death, Kenneth moved to Kalispell to be near his family.

Kenny loved to dance, and he loved to sing.

He was constantly tinkering and was an excellent mechanic.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife; parents, infant sister and two brothers, Fred and Archie Jr.

He is survived by four sisters, Vivian Workman of Eureka, Goldie Tremis and husband, Jack, of Butte, Cecil Whitehead and husband, Richard, of Kalispell, and Josephine Bouton and husband, Micky, of Kent, Wash.; two brothers, Don Cameron and wife, Dana, of Moyie Springs, Idaho, and Earl Cameron and wife, Pat, of Kalispell; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services for Kenneth will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 31, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
