Kalispell police dispatched the animal warden to a number of reports

of overheated dogs in distress. Warden Mike Hall said he has heard concerns about people leaving dogs in vehicles or out in the yard. He reminds dog owners that cracking the windows a few inches in vehicles doesn't provide an animal much relief from the pressure-cooker that a vehicle can become. It's better to leave dogs at home, he advises. Dogs should be fine in the yard if they have shade and water.

A gray Pathfinder was reported stolen at the Finish Line bar at about 12:30 a.m. Monday. A short time later came a report that the car hit a barricade and another vehicle a short distance away. It was at about 2 a.m. when someone on Whalebone Drive reported the vehicle had high-centered on a mailbox and tipped on its side. The driver wasn't immediately found.

On Seventh Avenue West, someone threw apples at a kitchen window. He was told to move along.

No one wanted to press charges after a disturbance at Cattlemen's bar.

On a still, summer night in Kalispell, residents heard yelling and screaming on East California Street, loud music on Sherry Lane and Sixth Street West, and a lot of noise at the junior high track, where a man was arrested on warrants.

A man was so happy at the Finish Line bar, that he didn't want to leave. People there were so unhappy with his presence, they called police. He moved on. So did someone who pounded on the back door of a home on Seventh Avenue West at 3:30 a.m.

A satellite radio and checkbook were relocated from a vehicle on College Avenue to places unknown.

It was 3:30 in the morning when two 14-year-old boys were walking around the courthouse loop. They were released to their parents.

A sign on Second Street East was graffitied. The men's restroom door at Depot Park was vandalized.

A man in a truck at City Brew flashed his naughty bits at someone who wasn't impressed and called police with a description.
