Minutes later, another caller described something like a meteor that landed in the South Fork and disappeared. A third caller also described the item as a fireball and said it went into the trees on the mountain between Marion and Tally Lake. A sheriff's dispatcher called the Federal Aviation Administration in Seattle, Great Falls, and Salt Lake City. None of those offices had reports of anything unusual.
