The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took three complaints

about a group of bicyclists wearing green shirts and refusing to yield to drivers on U.S. 2 near the airport. Both a Montana Highway Patrol trooper and a deputy stopped to tell the bikers to pedal single-file and not to make obscene gestures to drivers.

Another hazard on U.S. 2 was a cow moose and her calf near the airport.

Someone on Montana 206 reported an assault that happened a week and a half ago.

At Lion Lake, people with a loose dog threatened people who complained about it. A very unhappy camper near Hungry Horse took a hint and moved on. At a KOA campground, an elderly couple launched profanities at someone they accused of taking their campsite.

A coffee can filled with prescription drugs and some medical bags were found at the county landfill.

Someone broke into a house in Kila while it was briefly vacant. Three people were seen climbing in the window of a home on Treasure Lane; the owner was contacted and said they had permission to make the unusual entry. A resident on U.S. 2 East reported that someone stole wood there, but she later found out it was her father who took it.

On Ridgewood Drive an 11-year-old boy is accused of threatening other children with a knife. Threats were reported on East Evergreen Drive and on Good Creek Road. Phone harassment was reported on Braig Road. A vulgar message was left on an answering machine on Ash Road.

A uninhibited urinator got a lecture on U.S. 2 East.

Tools were stolen from a garage on East Reserve Drive.

Two people complained about a reckless driver in Columbia Heights. A standoff between drivers followed. The situation was resolved with the arrest of one man for driving with a suspended license.

A vehicle stolen in Arizona reportedly was found at the White Birch Motel.

In the game of rocks-paper-scissors, some children were at a constant draw when they only threw rocks at one another. A deputy counseled them.

Someone tapped on a window at 1 a.m. on Mountain View Drive. An unwanted man on Echo Lake Road was persuaded to leave. Same situation, same result on Sandy Hill Lane.

It was at 3:30 a.m. when a helpless, hapless man at El Rancho called for help because he said people were harassing him in an Internet chat room. He was advised to change the name he uses in the chat room.
